Who We Are

We, Makaha Mountain Farms, are an Ohana owned and operated indoor MicroGreen farm- located in the heart of Makaha Valley. Our indoor growing facility offers us the ability to grow fresh local produce, without the use of any chemical contaminants such as pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. All of our seeds are certified non-GMO and are grown in 100% organic growth mediums. We have a wide variety of products readily available, as well as several "grow to order" options. As a local farm, we are striving to offer our MicroGreen Ohana and visitors sustainable, clean, and nutritious eating options. We also have biodegradable packaging and labeling!

The Science:

The Reason...

MicroGreens are the stage of the plant between the sprout and the full-grown produce. Harvesting them at this stage of their growth gives them up to 40 times more nutrients- with a much more intense and defined flavor profile.

The Polyphenols...

MicroGreens prevent the accumulation of harmful free radicals in your body (more so than their fully grown versions), as well as aid in the ability to prevent and reverse chronic diseases. These include heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and obesity.

The Convenience...

Because we grow our MicroGreens indoors organically, they are available for harvest all year-round (pesticide, herbicide, and GMO free).
